There is just enough rubber coating on the mounts to protect the mounting surface from being scratched while maintaining the strength of the magnet. The magnetic camera mount includes 6 magnets with holding strength of up to 300 lb.
The platform features multiple 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threaded mounting holes, allowing you options for mounting cameras, ball heads, or secondary safety systems, which are recommended whenever you mount a rig to a moving vehicle.
